I want to do an army inspired Santa as I think it would be funny to imagine the toy grenades and stuff he would use.

Tuesday 23rd Oct Halloween Moodboards with Sketches and the Final Concept

I liked the idea of a creepy girl at the end of a corrider but decided against it as you would lose the detail of the girl I felt.

I really liked this short sketch of a woman smiling in the mirror and looking pretty from the front but then we can see that behind she is covered in blood holding a knife.

I decided to go with a horror themed Cheshire Cat inspired from the lady in the mirror sketch. I like the contrast of animal/human and the eyes I feel came out really well, but I think I need to look more at how blood looks to make that look more realistic.

Sunday 21st Oct Tree MoodBoard

I wanted to make a tree that had the character of an animal e.g. a majestic stag or an adorable personality.

 

Thursday 11th Oct Surreal MoodBoards

I started off looking at general surrealist images to get an idea of what I could do.

I figured that alot of surrealism can seem quite dark and others can appear very comical.

 

 

 

I then began looking at undersea creatures, as I thought that drawing a mermaid in space would've seemed very mysterious and surreal.

 

 

 

But then again I really like dthe idea of doing a comical surrealist image. So I started looking at cats in funny jumping poses.

 

Saturday 6th Oct Robot MoodBoards

I really want to do a steampunk inspired Robot Image. I really like the colours and the fact that the mechanics are on show usually with steampunk.

On the otherhand I really liked the idea of a very futuristic robot like an A.I. inspired sketch.

Monday 24th Sep Tentacles MoodBoard

I've been looking alot at Pin-Up girls and Medusa because I am really interested in doing an alien almost 'Star Trek' inspired Woman who's hair is the tentacles and it look's 1950's inspired hairstyle. I really like the bottom left image because it has the perfect hairstyle I was imagining, hopefully I can show this well through my sketches. I also like the idea of dreadlock inspired tentacles like the way the Predators looks almost like they have dreadlocks.

 

I also looked alot at sea creatures and Pokémon as I had an idea where the character had multiple arms and was doing something like Boxing (the Machop) or A puppeteer who could control many things. I don't know though how I could show this in a sketch but it will be insteresting to see how it turns out.
